I love this place. You can just walk around. Lovely coastal walk. An excursion isnot esential. Good bus trip around place.

A life in the parks, hi. We can't remember the actual name of the excursion and I guess it may change from time to time. There was a bit of walking involved as it's very busy and coaches can't park easily, but it's all organised. Apart from some time exploring the outside of the ‘Sagrada Família’ (not enough time to go inside), the gothic area was the only other part of the city we could explore on our own. The ride up to the viewpoint went through the site of the 1992 Olympics. And of course the guide on our tour was most informative. It gave us a flavour and ideas should we return. One day in port is never enough for the major attractions. Enjoy your holiday. pjoverhere.

Have only seen this city on an old episode of Rick Stein and thought then that it had real character and a fascinating (sometimes bloody) history.

A really lovely video to watch. We were there last month with Royal Caribbean, but only a few hours in port with a 2 pm departure, so didn't mange to walk the streets AND get up on the walls. But you've certainly shown what we missed by not having that opportunity, so will definitely make that effort next time.

What a fabulous video, and one that showed us a place we weren't familiar with. The music complemented it perfectly by the way 🎶🎞

Margate is the perfect destination for newly-wed couples go on their honeymoon (if they do not want to travel abroad). There used to be a Butlins Hotel in Cliftonville that attracted a lot of holidaymakers. Sadly, The Bultins Hotel has longed closed.

My mother was born in Finikounda. I have been there many times from a small child. As my cousins left for Kalamata and my aunts both passed away as well as one of my cousins leaving this life due to ailing health, It’s been a while since I’ve been there and I don’t know when I’ll get to be there again. My grandparents graves are at the top of the hill by the church. Many childhood memories there. Thank you very much for this nice and memorable video. I truly appreciate it.

Takes me back, this is where we had our honeymoon in 1991. Flying fish sandwich at the Waterfront Cafe in Bridgetown. Trip on the Jolly Roger and the Atlantis Submarine. We also did the Island hopping to Mustique and Union Island. Stayed in Oistins/Hastings.. Holiday of Lifetime..

I feel paestum is more impressive than acropolis, and it should get more “must see” in travel lists. Royal palace in caserta should get more attention too from tourists

It's still similar in parts. But now many parts of the area are starting to resemble London. Over crowded and more and more flats. Squeezing in flats and houses in any space they can find.

A lot of changes since I left Maidstone in 1973 though some parts I still recognise especially at beginning and around the HMP area towards Penenden Heath and the Chiltern Hundreds.
